New year! :)

I've said this numerous times but it is so neat to see how God has blessed SeeKING Photos? these last few months! I am SUPER excited to see what he has in store for 2011! To start the new year off on the right note I have a give away I would like to try! :) I have something for both the "new" clients and my faithful clients that have trusted me before! :)

New Clients:
If you have never gotten your pictures taken by SeeKING Photos?, please email me at d_b_09@yahoo.com. I will pick the first TWO clients that email me, to give a prize too! (It's VERY simple and only takes a few minutes!)

Faithful Clients:
Since you have been good to me this year, I want to be able to be good back to you! :) Either comment under this blog or email me at d_b_09@yahoo.com. Just comment your "name" and a way for me to get in touch with you (other than Facebook). I will do a random drawing and pick THREE clients to win a prize!

As you see, that is 5 prizes that will be given away! :) Please comment under the blog or email me BEFORE December 30th at 8pm.

Hope you all have a Happy New Years!

Also don't forget that during the months of December and January, a portion of all my sales will be going to help out the McLeod family. You can find information about this family under my "discussion" tab on Facebook. Just a condensed version: A mom and 16 year old daughter were in a head on car accident. The 16 year old broke every bone in her body and they were expecting her to stay in Texas Children's for up to 6 months. After 1 month of being in the hospital both her and her mom were released to go home to "heal." Along with numerous trips to the hospital, gas, parking permits, medical bills, groceries, ect. the $$$ adds up. Even though they are no longer in the hospital, they are at home in hospital beds. This money will be given to the McLeods to use as they need it! :) So if you would like to help this family out, all you have to do is make an appointment! :)

Catching up! :)

It has been a while since I have done a "blog" on photo shoots, sessions, and prizes/contests. This time of the year, we all seem to get caught up in things here and there and normally don't find the time to settle down and do things that we like to do. But for me, I'm totally opposite! Being out of school for about a week now, I have done several photo shoots, placed several orders, and have had several referrals. Thank you all so much for all the support, encouragement, and guidance you have given me these past few months. I need to catch up on my "photo sessions" that I have done recently. I will combine them all into one blog, since I am FINALLY finding time to sit down and write one! :)

This past Saturday, I was given the chance to photograph a precious little boy and his older sister (who is expecting :)). This was a special time to catch two "milestones" in their lives. You could tell by the look in his eyes that he loved his sister very much and the pictures that were taken would be ones that he will treasure for a lifetime. On the other hand, we were getting a few maternity pictures of Kelsey. :) I enjoyed this photo shoot and was so pleased that I had a HAPPY momma! :) ( I'm new to this whole "blog" thing, so I cannot figure out how to make three pictures align right...so would LOVE for you to look at the rest on facebook! :)

Being around the Shanks' house for over a year now (my boyfriend's parents), I have noticed they have very FEW pictures of both of their children together. I have tried and tried for at least a month to get Troy and Caty together for Christmas pictures. After Caty continually telling me she had to go to the movies, she had the biggest party of Junior High to go too, and she was busy..we finally found a time this past Friday to do pictures of her and Troy! I am so thankful we did, because their Mom got a Christmas present (early) that she says is the best one yet! We had so much fun taking these pictures and she now has pictures of her kids (as teenagers) to put up in her living room, instead of babies/toddlers. I had so much fun!! I LOVE MY JOB!!! :D

I was given the chance to photograph/help out with a Polar Express Christmas party for the kids at my grandma's church! :) Between serving some kiddos, holding/playing with babies, and cleaning up spilt hot chocolate, I got very few pictures. I did get a group shot, with the kids and their "bells."

Several months ago, I had a lady from Washington contact me about doing family pictures. She had told me that she would be in Jasper visiting family this week! :) I got really excited and we booked her appointment right away! Their little girl was so amazed with everything else around her (the dogs, grass, hay, ect.) I had Amy (my sister) standing above me clapping, calling her name and playing with her "noisy toys" trying to get her attention. We got a few shots of her looking at the camera and smiling! :) A huge success, considering she was looking at EVERYTHING but us! :) Thank you so much for letting me take these pictures of you and your family! I really enjoyed it!

As you can all tell, I have been staying really busy. God is really blessing SeeKING Photos?. The numbers on Facebook is steadily on the rise and the people contacting me about pictures is happening daily! :) I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Looking forward to a new year with you next year! Please continue to keep up on both facebook and the blog. I will randomly do prizes on the blog..so be on the lookout!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM SEEKING PHOTOS?! God Bless you!

My Hero..My Soldier..My Daddy

Last week I had the opportunity to take pictures of a little boy that is 3 years old. This little boy hasn't had the life of a normal child, because his Daddy wasn't always around due to being a soldier in the Army. His Daddy missed all his "firsts" because he was fighting for our freedom. Take a look at all those daddies out there that are away from their families, children, and loved ones to do something like that for us. We often take things for granted and not realize what they are having to give up. Not only are they putting themselves in harms way, but missing important "milestones" in their family's life.

Wanting to do something neat and special with this family, I decided 20 minutes before my photo shoot that I wanted to paint a sign that said "My Hero..My Soldier..My Daddy." Being rushed for time, I had decided not too, but shortly later talked myself into it. I thought that was the least I could do, was to make this photo shoot as "special" as possible. The sign was painted, blow-dried (because remember I did this only 20 minutes before my shoot), and put together in less than 20 minutes! :)

Keep this family in your prayers as they are still separated....the mom and the little boy here and the Daddy in another state. Thank God for what all the soldiers do..not only fighting for our freedom...but for the countless hours they are away from their family.  This photo session was very special to me and I am blessed I was able to capture these special moments for you! :)

Prize for those who "keep-up"

Changing to this blog is going to not only help you guys out, but also me! A lot of people just "like" the page and do not have any interest in getting pictures done EVER..so therefore, when I do contests and giveaways, it is unfair to those who are anxiously waiting to be picked. I want to make sure all my faithful clients know about the blog and will keep up with it, as you did on facebook! :) So..here we go...we are going to have our first prize to give away!!! (Can I get a Yipee!!!) Comment under the blog..leave your name and then share one tradition that you and your family do at Christmas time! :) This prize giveaway will be from today, December 10th until December 11th at 9:30pm.

Looking forward to it!! :)  I'm hoping to post a blog later today about my "special" photo shoot last night!!

New things happening with SeeKING Photos?

This has been a crazy week at school, getting ready for finals and packing to move out (because I will be living in a house next semester!) As always though, I look forward to coming home on the weekends to take pictures of special people! I had been thinking about starting a blog at the beginning of the year, but with the new rules/guidelines on Facebook now, I wanted to have it available to you as soon as possible. Please work with me, because it is not completely done. I am still adding the "cute" stuff and trying to complete all sections of information.
With the blog, not only will it keep  you up to date on recent photo shoots, but this is also where I will be giving away prizes and having contests! :) Sorry for any inconveniences, just trying to work things out, to help not only my clients, but the business as a whole! :) I hope you understand and will continue to "keep-up" with SeeKING Photos? through this blog. I will still post some pictures and update statuses on Facebook, but the majority will be done on here!

I am anxious to see how this works out! Please hang in there, because I am new to the whole blog thing also!

If you would like to make an appointment, look at your pictures, order pictures, or have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment under a blog, email me, or call me! Thank you all for your support, encouragement, understanding, and business!

SeeKING Photos? enjoys giving back, if you know of a family in need, please let me know and we will come up with a way to help!
